1. Phoenix was a success, every run was
closer to the dial-in-time. We are very close to finding the sweet spot.
A couple of small changes and we will be there.

2.
Red Bluff was tons of fun. The changes worked, the boat ran smooth and
straight. We won third place in the nights of fire show & shine. We
Qualified well with good numbers. We went out in the Semis with a
time of 11.95 not bad for a 12.00 second boat. We are looking forward to
Chowchilla and a Big Thank you to all of our
Sponsors & Troops.
3. Chowchilla was very exciting. We were # 1 qualifier for a short time.
After qualifying was over we were # 2. Number 1-2-3 qualifiers were with
in tenths of seconds of each other. The class is getting tight and we
have lots of work to do. We lost a cylinder in the first round of
eliminations at the end of the track. Thank goodness it was at the end
of the track and the engine is still intact. At Dexter, we will have a
new bullet.

4. Dexter was a blast. Before we left, Greg and Richard had fun
working on the engine Thursday night when all the parts finely arrived.
We crossed our fingers and hoped it would run ok. Saturday we tested the newly rebuild engine and it turned
some great numbers 12.05 is one of them. Greg did a great job it ran
better than ever. The boat is reacting very fast,
something we can work with. We are so happy with the new bullet.
Team Armed forces made it to
Marble Falls Texas. The Boat and driver
had to stay home. It was a hot one to say the least. Richard helped Jeff
Vail and the Shock Therapy team drive the long trip. Plus a big Thanks
to Bob Prigmore for opportunity to go up on stage with with
Abracadabra team. Congratulations Bob on the Modified Eliminator win.
Richard had a great time! Also a big get well soon to Roger Silva.
5. San Diego was good as it always is. Plenty of boat racing all three
days. Plus a show & shine with the big boats. The first day of test and
tune Greg ran it out to see what the boat would do. It ran a 10.0
something. Very impressive! Greg ran a 12.06. Very impressive too. We
Qualified # 4 all teams are very close. Greg had good lights in windy
conditions, not easy with that sail out. The boat ran a little fast in
eliminations, we are working with tenths & hundredths of seconds,
how exciting to dial it in that close. Armed Forces Special right now is
in 2nd place for the World Championship. It still is a chase and very close
competition, so hold on to you hats, it's going to be a fast ride!!!
6. Dexter was so much fun, Greg, Bonny, Loretta & I have so many great
memories there. So many good friends we are thankful for. We needed to
test the new adjustments on the boat and we did. Greg is getting a real
feel for the rocket. The boat ran some great numbers. He is comfortable
with the new speeds and the boat riding right, it will be challenge to
stay in the 12 second class. We have some good data for the next race.
We are happy with the results. Thanks for all the support. We are
looking forward to Phoenix.
7. Phoenix, AZ., the World Finals are a hard race to describe. You have to
see it to believe it. Two hundred boats, & two hundred drivers that are
trying to win. All these warriors line up for the last battle of the
year. The points race in all classes and divisions are very close. It's
a RUSH & organized chaos. Greg qualified well, and had to race the number one boat for
division 1 in the first round of eliminations. Greg had to race one of
the toughest racers of the year, & he had to race him twice because of a
clock problem. Greg made it through the first round. His second
round he pushed the boat a little hard and had a double break-out. We
are # 2 in the World Championship in division 1 in points. The Armed
Forces Special Team are very proud to be runner up in the championship.
We are looking forward to next year. Thanks to Roger Silva, Mary,
Gilbert & crew for
the great meals.
Special Thanks to all the Family, Friends, Sponsors, Troops, &
Pit Pals, that supported, donated, feed us and just dropped by.
